We provide a warm and loving environment where children can feel comfortable and learn. We believe that every child has many strengths. It is our job to figure out how to encourage growth through these strengths, as well as provide a safe and nurturing environment in which to do so.

OUR PROGRAMS

Tomatis® Sound Therapy

Sound therapy where children listen to Mozart music and Gregorian chant with bone conduction.  This helps with regulation of the body, receptive / expressive language as well as auditory processing.

DIRFloortime®

Developmental form of intervention with a focus on regulation, affect and emotions.  It is now an alternative to ABA and being paid by Medicaid in the state of NJ.

Forbrain®

A unique tool that works on the audio vocal loop.  The child listens to their own voice through bone conduction with a dynamic filter which filters out extraneous noises.  Improves attention to task and processing speed.

Interactive Metronome®

A computer based program which improves rhythm and timing.  The child listens to a metronome beat via headphones and adjusts their motor actions to follow the tempo of the metronome.  Improves attention and motor skills.

MNRI® Method

Developed by Dr. Masgutova with a focus on reflex integration and tactile processing to help support motor development and calm the nervous system.

Soundsory

An at-home headset with music embedded into the headphones based on the Tomatis Method.  This is a great alternative when logistics of coming into the office for intensive sound therapy is not possible as well as after the Tomatis Method to continue to exercise the ear.  This helps calm the nervous system and improve regulation.

Infant Health

We integrate a number of different treatment methods specializing with infants such as craniosacral and oral motor work.  Our PT specializes in infants with torticollis while our OT specializes in craniosacral (decreasing facial tightness) and oral motor strengthening, stretching and de-sensitizing pre/post tongue, lip, buccal tie releases.

Safe and Sound Protocol

A sound protocol developed by Dr. Stephen Porges based on his Poly-Vagal Theory.  It has a focus on higher frequencies of sound to help support sound sensitivity and trauma triggers related to low frequency sound sensitivities.

Feeding / Oral Motor

We use a variety of different approaches to feeding that are child-led and play based, from SOS Feeding to Nutritional Therapy (support with supplements) to oral motor exercises / techniques.

Nutritional Therapy

Using a bio-individual, holistic approach, our therapist will work with families to understand the underlying possibilities of what may be impacting each client's unique nutritional needs and deficiencies. Nutritional Therapy Practitioners support the body's innate ability to heal by addressing the importance of various factors.

Handwriting Without Tears

Handwriting Without Tears is a wonderful way to learn to identify letters, the correct way to form letters, sizing and spacing when writing and how to use the lines when writing. It uses a multi-sensory approach to handwriting and can be adapted into a child’s current handwriting curriculum. It is an easy-to-learn approach, which is fun for children.

OUR PROCESS

STEP 1: Call or email our office.  Our front desk administrator will get your demographic and insurance information.  We will then call your insurance company to verify your out of network benefits and send you those details.

STEP 2: Set up an initial evaluation appointment.  Included with that appointment is a 30 minute clinical call with our clinical supervisor.  This will help us determine the appropriate route for assessment and treatment.  Evaluations typically take between 1-2 hours.

STEP 3: Once receiving your written assessment report, the evaluating therapist will have a 30 minute follow up call to answer any questions you might have in regard to the written information and test results.

STEP 4: Treatment typically consists of 1 session each week for 60 minutes.  We also offer intensive models of therapy where children attend sessions a few hours each day for a few weeks, with breaks in between.
